Designed as a “single book,” this work covers many disciplines: notes, rhythms, songs, dictations, error detection, intonations, graphics, theoretical analysis, not to mention listening. Indeed, each lesson is structured around a different musical excerpt (from VIVALDI to DEBUSSY) recorded on CD.
Initially, the acquisition of notes and rhythms is done in a sensory way using flashcards provided in the teacher’s book (which also includes the conductors’ scores of the excerpts and the answer keys).
The lessons in the student’s book are presented over 2 pages: one for the lesson, the other for homework.
This work is intended for those working within amateur musicians’ societies and complies with the musical training programs of the Confédération Musicale de France. It will also be useful for school and music conservatory teachers.
