Artisanal Japanese manufacturing. JICO, an acronym for Nippon Precision Jewel Industry Co. LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer well known among enthusiasts of high-quality cartridges and styli for vinyl turntables, both audiophiles and DJs. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, with origins dating back to 1873, began its history by manufacturing sewing needles, a precision activity that already foreshadowed its future! Manufacturing diamonds and cantilevers since 1966, which made it famous, the brand has continuously innovated while preserving traditional manufacturing techniques, and now offers its own cartridge holders, cartridges, and styli for the delight of all vinyl lovers.

The brand has worked hard to offer audiophiles and DJs a replacement solution for the famous Shure M44G and N44G cartridges and styli, well known to audiophiles and 45 rpm enthusiasts. On this Omnia J44D Aurora, JICO has integrated a moving magnet J44D cartridge, delivering performance equivalent to the Shure M44G cartridges of the time, with that characteristic sound that is both smooth, full, balanced, and very musical. The N44G Aurora stylus, with its Type S cantilever made of precisely crafted tubular aluminum alloy to closely match Shure cantilevers, combined with a nude (bare) diamond, offers excellent guidance in the vinyl groove and increased resistance to skipping, while providing you with high-definition audio quality.
A model optimized for DJs. This complete kit offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds very close to authentic Shure cartridges, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The tracking force has been increased, from 1.5g for the Shure model to a maximum of 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better tracking for the most demanding sessions. The stylus body of this Aurora version, made of Lumi Nova phosphorescent pigments, glows in the dark to more easily locate your stylus tip in low light, while adding an inimitable touch to your turntable! And to protect the stylus under all circumstances, this model features a protective flap that folds over the stylus to prevent any harmful friction.
