The Zoom EXH-6e is part of Zoom's evolving modular concept: a dedicated capsule that expands recording capabilities without changing your workflow. With its "Capsule 3.0" format, it marks a significant step forward compared to previous generations by improving connection stability and supporting modern features of the Essential range, including 32-bit floating point recording.
Designed for the Zoom H6 Essential, the EXH-6e is intended for multi-source recording: multi-mic interviews, rehearsal capture, mixer recording, or hybrid setups combining XLR microphones and lavalier mics. The stereo mini-jack input offers real flexibility in the field, especially when you need to travel light while keeping a lavalier option or a compact stereo source.
The two lockable XLR/TRS combo inputs accept both mic and line levels, adapting to dynamic microphones, condenser mics, or mixer outputs. For condenser microphones, phantom power is available on these two inputs, provided the capsule is powered via its USB-C port (power adapter or USB battery). On the 3.5 mm mini-jack side, plug-in power (PiP) allows the use of compatible lavalier microphones, a practical option for reporting and content creation.
