The Yamaha Pacifica 012 is primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate players who want an electric guitar that is easy to set up and understand, while retaining enough character to explore various genres. Thanks to its three pickups and 5-position selector, it is well suited for pop, rock, blues, funk (crisp clean sounds in intermediate positions), and thicker bridge pickup tones for more energetic rhythms and leads.
The mahogany body provides a warm foundation, with present mids and a pleasing roundness, while the maple neck contributes to attack precision and clarity. The ceramic pickups offer a strong output level and clear response, useful for maintaining bite in both clean and overdriven tones.
