Designed to extend the Apollo workflow beyond the rack, the Apollo e1x connects via Dante and allows you to place a preamp exactly where you need it: stage rack, control room, booth, console, or set. Paired with an Apollo x16D, it becomes a natural extension of the system, offering smooth remote control and seamless integration in live, broadcast, or multi-room studio setups.
The Apollo e1x targets sound engineers and technicians who want to add a mic/line input precisely at critical points without running analog multicore cables. In concerts, it can supplement a stage rack or provide a spot mic input. In studios, it facilitates remote recordings (booth, tracking room, control room) while maintaining centralized control. It is also ideal for "utility" needs such as a front-of-house measurement mic or an additional input on a console.
In combination with an Apollo x16D, the e1x provides access to Unison technology: an approach designed to replicate the behavior of hardware preamps by adapting gain and impedance. The result is a more "alive" sound with character and detail, perfect for vocals, acoustic instruments, or dynamic sources in live settings.
Thanks to Dante routing, you integrate the e1x into your existing infrastructure and manage audio streams directly in the Dante Controller, or via the UAD Console when the e1x is paired with an Apollo x16D. PoE reduces the number of power supplies to manage, and the coupling system allows aligning multiple units for a robust and tidy installation.
