Designed for 4/4 violins with a 328 mm (13 ") pitch, these Medium tension strings are optimized to meet the needs of the vast majority of musicians. The Helicore Octave violin set is designed for tuning one octave larger. lower than traditional violin tuning to give you a whole new world of sonic and stylistic possibilities. The technology used to make the cores of these strings is the same as that of the original Helicore violin set. The strings included in this set are considerably Larger than traditional violin strings. Therefore, they will require special care to ensure that they are properly seated on your violin. Please follow the following guidelines to install them: Make sure the notches on the bridge and nut are wide enough to accommodate the diameter of octave strings. Excessive pressure or pinching may interfere with their normal movement. To obtain the best results, rub graphite (gray pencil lead) on the notches before installing each string.
