Nux Trident multi-effects pedalboardA powerful and complete multi-effects pedalboard!Following on from the success of the Cerberus, Nux decided to design its even more versatile and advanced big brother, the Trident NME-5! Its construction is extremely demanding, both in terms of the robust one-piece aluminium chassis and the rigorously selected components. In fact, no less than two powerful DSPs are on board to ensure the TS/AC 4K and White-Box modelling is realistic and highly inspiring!The amp and effects modelling requirements have been taken even further, with, for example, 4 inputs for certain amp heads and simulation of the various patch cable connections (plexi input bridges, for example). With ten effects blocks to choose from, the order in which amp, cabinet, modulation, delay and reverb models and all on-board effects can be chained is infinite. There are no limits to your sound creations and experiments. And if the on-board impulse responses (IRs) aren't enough, Trident has 32 slots for importing your own via USB. The built-in looper gives you even more ways to add up your guitar loops and practise! It allows loops of up to 30 seconds with unlimited overdubs, and the option of chaining in pre- or post-effects!Total control for perfect live and studio performances!When it comes to ergonomics and settings, the Trident is designed to be easy and intuitive to use! The 10 footswitches let you navigate between presets and functions: banks / presets, activation or non-activation of Boost / Fx / Mod / Delay / Reverb blocks, as well as the various looper functions and the built-in tuner. The Amp/IRs, Mod/Fx and Delay/Reverb blocks feature physical potentiometers and dedicated toggle switches for selecting effects and adjusting parameters. The bright LCD screen is surrounded by 2 encoders for editing/saving presets and pedalboard options. Finally, the Master Volume is a small potentiometer located on the rear of the chassis.In terms of connections, the Trident has everything you need to perform on stage or in the studio: two XLR D.I. outputs (with ground lift) for direct connection to a mixing desk or full-range loudspeaker, two jack outputs for sending sound to guitar amps, a headphone jack output for silent playing, a jack for control via an optional expression pedal, a jack-format effects loop, and a mini-jack Aux In for your backing tracks. The Trident also supports MIDI protocol via the mini-jack input and output, but adapters to 5-pin DIN format are supplied! Finally, the USB-C port is used as an audio interface (for recording or livestreaming), to update firmware, and also to manage third-party IRs and your presets in detail via the free Trident Editor? software.
