Ernie Ball P02566 ALUMINUM BRONZE 12-54 MEDIUM LIGHT

Description

The Aluminum Bronze string range offers guitarists better acoustic projection and clarity.

Projection and clarity.
With the Aluminum Bronze range, Ernie Ball offers strings that offer more clarity and projection compared to traditional bronze strings. Designed from a Maraging steel wire, widely used in the aerospace and defense sectors, and a yarn combining bronze and aluminum, these strings generate more pronounced bass frequencies and crystalline highs.

Aluminum bronze 12-54, Medium Light

Pulling: 12, 16, 24, 32,44 and 54

With the Aluminum Bronze acoustic guitar strings, Ernie Ball presents the first significant innovation since the invention of the Phosphor Bronze in 1974.

The addition of aluminum in the spinning of the ropes improves both the oxidation resistance and the acoustic qualities. Projection and clarity are superior to traditional 80/20 or 85/15 bronze strings.

In addition, Aluminum Bronze has a soul in Maraging Steel. This super alloy made of steel, nickel, molybdenum and titanium surpasses in strength and elasticity the steel previously used. In addition, it turns out that Maraging steel reinforces the low end and gives the bass strings more depth.

This double innovation therefore produces a harmonic richness and a sound projection unpublished to this day. It was worth the wait for 40 years!

Use
Very bright sound, enhanced projection as promised, with added bass and harmonics on the mid-low range. Better clarity for fingerstyle playing. Excellent result with a guitar that already has a warm and full sound, rich in midtones. A "sharp" guitar will sound too metallic. The sound retains its characteristics longer (compared to the brand's Earthwood).

It needs testing. We have a nice clear sound but less bright than other brands. On the other hand, the projection is great and the resistance to oxidation is honestly not bad. For +/- 10 €, it's a good product.
