Ashdown's Double Drive is a dual distortion pedal designed for John Myung (Dream Theater) and developed to suit his amp (ABM-600) and his 6-string Music Man Bongo, which has a quite unique tonal quality. It offers the possibility to choose between Drive 1, excellent for harmonic distortion, and Drive 2, providing an excellent bass presence control and capable of making them stand out in the mix. These two individual distortions can also be stacked to reach new levels of gain. The pedal also features a DI output and two VU meters on top of the pedal to visualize input and output levels to ensure a correct signal depending on the input source.
