Like a 1960s invasion, the G5422G-12 Electromatic® Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut 12-String with Gold Accastillage offers a full hollow body and true Filter'Tron™ voicing for a classic, luxurious 12-string sound. Like all Electromatic guitars, it offers the fearless, electrifying authenticity that has distinguished Gretsch as the quintessential rock 'n' roll guitar from the very beginning.
The G5422G-12 features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired perimeters and refined arches, as well as all-new trestle block bracing to help reduce unwanted feedback. By increasing the stiffness and contact between the top and back of the body, the new trestle block design also allows the sound to have a faster attack with more focus, more grip and better sustain. Coupled with the all-new FT-5E Filter'Tron™ pickups, the voice of this hollow build explodes with a huge full-bodied punch, classic chime and improved note presence, clarity and definition.
An all-new classic maple "C" neck provides a more comfortable playing feel for improved playability and performance, and is topped with a 12-inch radius laurel fingerboard.
Other high-end features include enhanced multi-purpose controls, including master volume with treble dampening circuitry, master tone, volume controls for each pickup and a three-position tone switch, oversized F-holes, multi-ply body surrounds, a smaller late '50s headstock (G6120), pressure-sealed tuners, Graph Tech® NuBone® saddle, historic Hump Block pearl inlays, a secure Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and a Gretsch G-cutout tailpiece.
Lively and loud, the G5422G-12 is available in Single Barrel Burst or Walnut Stain finishes with gold hardware and pickguard.
