The Custom Phosphor Bronze snare drums are the quintessential snare drums and the embodiment of the SAKAE sound. They offer exceptional presence with impressive volume and sound pressure but also provide a wide range of dynamics.
These highly responsive and dynamic snare drums can adapt to all styles and genres. The transition is immediate between the strongest rim shots and the softest ghost notes.
To better meet the needs of a wide range of drummers, the Phosphor Bronze snare drums are available in two sizes. A 14" x 6.5" (approximately 35.6 x 16.5 cm) model for players who prefer a more powerful sound, and a more accessible 14" x 5.5" (approximately 35.6 x 14 cm) model.

SHELL
The shell is made from high-quality 3 mm thick phosphor bronze, with a reinforcement ring.
SNARE WIRES
The 36-strand snare wires are made of Ultra High-Carbon, which is stiffer than usual High-Carbon snare wires. This formula produces a faster, crisper, and more powerful response.
HOOP
The Japan Custom snare drum is equipped with SAKAE's popular Righty Halo; the upper edge of the hoop is angled outward for an open sound with enhanced harmonics.
SHELLS
The custom shells used for the Phosphor Bronze snare drum are specially designed to match the shell properties to achieve the best sound and performance.
STRAINER
