Mount this microphone on a short micro foot, then position it just inside the opening of the big case. Direct the microphone directly to the drummer for more attack, or to the extreme edge of the battery for a more resonant sound.
Microphones for Tom and Caisse Claire TM1200 dynamic diaphragm capsules are specially designed for toms and clear boxes. Mount clips on each microphone then fix them on the hoop of a TOM or a clear box. The angle and distance between the microphone and the battery skin are adjustable. For best results, position each microphone towards the center of the battery skin.

Mount the microphones on a pair of pole trips and position them so as to obtain the delicate/silky treble.
