Essential Information About the Behringer BC1200 Drum Microphone Set
- Complete kit of 7 matched microphones to capture every element of the kit (kick drum, snare, toms, cymbals) in studio and on stage.
- Dedicated capsules: large diaphragm dynamic for kick, dynamic for tom/snare, matched condensers for overheads.
- Effective isolation thanks to unidirectional polar patterns and microphone placement designed for precision and attack.
- Robust molded metal construction, gold-plated 3-pin XLR connectors, and carrying case for reliable portability.
A Complete Behringer Kit Designed for Studio and Stage
With the BC1200, Behringer offers a coherent set that brings together seven microphones tuned to cover the entire drum kit. The goal: to provide a simple, reliable, and consistent solution that transforms a drum set into a clear sonic image, from the power of the kick drum to the silky highs of the cymbals.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
The BC1200 is aimed at drummers, home studio users, and sound engineers who want versatile recording without getting lost in references. In rehearsal, club live, or home studio, it delivers consistent results: defined attack on the snare, present toms without bleed, and airy overheads for a natural space.
Dedicated Capsules for Each Part of the Kit
Kick Drum KM1200
The large diaphragm dynamic microphone is designed for the high acoustic pressure of the kick. Placed just inside the port, it delivers either a marked attack when aimed at the beater or a more resonant low end oriented toward the edge.
Toms and Snare TM1200
The medium diaphragm dynamics attach directly to the hoop via supplied clamps. Angle and distance adjust in one motion to aim at the center of the head and achieve precise strike with minimal bleed.
Overheads CM1200
The two matched condenser microphones reproduce cymbal transients and the stereo image of the kit. In an XY pair above the snare or positioned respectively on the ride and hi-hat, they provide air and detail. These microphones require 48 V phantom power.
