The GA-FC EX builds on the concept of the standard GA-FC and takes it further: the same simple logic, but more options to control your amp with your foot. It is primarily aimed at guitarists who utilize the presets and built-in effects of compatible amps and want more comprehensive control without multiplying devices.
Ideal if you play on a compatible BOSS Katana MkII and frequently switch between sounds: channel changes, preset recalls, effect on/off activation, and real-time control via expression pedal(s). Whether in concert, rehearsal, or studio, it helps you stay focused on playing while maintaining quick and clear management of your setup.
At the heart of the GA-FC EX are six footswitches and a display with bi-color LEDs to instantly track what is active. Two dedicated connectors accommodate your expression pedals, and a CONTROL connector adds versatility with a three-position selector: EXP PEDAL 3 (adds a third expression pedal), FOOT CONTROL 2 (controls two amplifiers), and EXPAND (connects another GA-FC EX or GA-FC to double the controls). Finally, on other compatible amps, it is recognized as a standard GA-FC controller.
The GA-FC EX does not process the audio signal: no coloration, no compression, no dynamic changes. Its contribution lies elsewhere: making your transitions cleaner and more musical by giving you immediate access to the amp's sounds and functions without letting go of the guitar or breaking the flow of the song.
