The Ranger is clearly one of those guitars with a unique reputation, whose lines every guitarist has seen at some point in their life. This true legend was born in the 1960s in Eko’s workshops in Italy, where it was successively named J-52, then J-54, before becoming the Ranger VI we all know. The Ranger 6 Cutaway EQ is a folk electroacoustic guitar in Dreadnought format, also called Western, with a large and deep body that produces generous bass, powerful mids, and smooth highs. The spruce top, which brings precision and clarity, is complemented by a basswood back and sides, a sturdy wood offering good sustain and excellent durability. The glued birch neck, with its C-shaped profile, provides excellent playing comfort for all hands and features a double-action truss rod, allowing you to adjust the action precisely to your needs.
Ergonomic and amplifiable.
This Ranger Cutaway EQ features a more ergonomic profile than the traditional Dreadnought format thanks to its cutaway, allowing very easy access to the upper frets without sacrificing the instrument’s projection. The built-in Eko SE-30 preamp includes volume control, 3-band EQ, a phase inverter to cancel possible feedback, and an integrated tuner to make your life easier.
