What updates?
To ensure better playing comfort, Martin Guitar has reduced the string spacing and redesigned the slightly beveled fretboard edges. These new guitars are therefore easier and more enjoyable to play. They also feature new attributes:

satin-finished tuners
a bridge with rounded edges borrowed from the "SC" range
a Martin E-1 preamp with built-in chromatic tuner and Tone and Phase volume controls.
