MADE IN JAPAN Renowned for its quality craftsmanship and many years of experience in drum manufacturing for Sakae and other brands, the Japanese company presents these new snare drums handmade by artisans in Sakae’s laboratory-factory in Osaka, Japan. By carefully selecting the finest walnut, skilled technicians refine the shells to ensure a wide sonic palette, high volume, and the unique sound that only walnut can offer. The Sakae walnut snare drums are available in 2 sizes, 14" x 6.5" (approximately 35.6 x 16.5 cm) and 14" x 5.5" (approximately 35.6 x 14 cm). These snare drums have a very specific and delicate sound that will perfectly suit your music.
SHELL The shell is made of 7 plies (7.2mm) and has a balanced sound with rich and precise midtones.
SNARE WIRES The Ultra High-Carbon snare wires, thicker than usual, offer a livelier and more precise response.
HOOP The walnut snare drum is equipped with SAKAE’s popular Mighty Halo; the top edge of the hoop is angled inward, allowing better control of harmonics and producing a more powerful sound.
LUGS The lugs allow ultra-fast sound transmission, resulting in a quicker and cleaner sound.
STRAINER Easily adjust the snare tension thanks to the highly efficient and user-friendly Sakae strainer.
