Martin strings are always of quality. These are made of a nickel & copper alloy. It gives a less clicking and warmer sound, which goes very well on my FG5 with "vintage" tones. These strings bring out the primary characteristics of the instrument. They also last a very long time before starting to darken a bit after several months of almost daily playing.

Mounted on a Gibson J45, the sound is really nice, warm, even if the projection is a bit reduced compared to bronze-phosphor strings, the sound blends wonderfully with the warm sound of a J45!
