Providence ABC-1 Anadime Bass Chorus Effects Pedal
The Anadime Chorus offers a sense of width and depth as well as warmth and thickness that only an analog chorus can achieve. This versatile chorus effect is ideal for everything from dark arpeggios to smooth chord progressions, as well as powerful riffs and solos.
The ABC-1 Anadime Bass Chorus uses an analog BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) delay line in a chorus effect specially designed for bass guitar. The ABC-1 delivers an exceptional chorus sound for a wide variety of bass playing situations: from heavy phrases in the low end to solos in the upper register, as well as wide-ranging chords.
A 3-position DEEP mode switch allows you to vary the perceived dimensional depth.
A high-pass filter (HPF) provides additional control over the chorus effect in the low frequencies, allowing you to maintain a stable pitch in the bass frequency range even when a deep chorus effect is applied.
In standard "true bypass" circuits, the instrument signal passes through two switch contacts when bypassed. In the Anadime Bass Chorus, the signal passes through only one contact when bypassed (Single Contact True Bypass), for unprecedented signal quality and reliability.
A double contact grounding circuit ensures that the plug inserted into the output jack is grounded at two contact points. Increasing the grounding contact surface minimizes the possibility of intermittent contact, while contributing to maximum sound quality.
In addition to indicating the pedal’s on/off status, the ABC-1’s LED allows effective visual monitoring of the battery level. When the battery voltage drops below 7 volts, the LED dims and begins to turn off. The effect will still operate at this voltage, but to ensure optimal performance, the battery should be replaced as soon as possible.
