Description

Last reed for clarinet to be released from Légère factories, the European Cut is favored by musicians looking for a great sound projection.

A wider reed, for a wider sound.
This reed, with a wider point and a shorter upper, is fitted with a "spine" along the upper. More comfortable, more stable, it allows each clarinetist who wishes to be heard to play with the articulation which is specific to him. Although it is too wide for most German mouthpieces, it will meet all the expectations of the majority of clarinetists.

Light, engineering at the service of musicians.
If the Légère reeds are considered as true technological masterpieces, it is because they arose from the meeting of two scientists. Guy Légère, chemist (doctorate at McGill University) and clarinetist, and Mark Kortschot, specialist in composite materials (doctorate at Cambridge University), worked together to find and develop the material that would be best suited to offer optimal longevity and acoustic qualities. The Light reeds are the fruit of this collaboration which has continued since 1998.

The European Cut series is the Premium version of the reeds for Bb clarinet.
These reeds offer ease in all registers, a clear and precise sound and great stability in the treble.
With its unique cut, the European Cut will allow the musician to achieve excellence.
Like all Légère reeds, it is offered every 1/4 force.
