The Shure 55SH Series II is especially suited for vocals. A descendant of the Unidyne 55 microphone dynasty, which began in 1939 with the very first Model 55, the 55SH Series II incorporates a state-of-the-art capsule in a satin-chrome die-cast housing. It is the worthy successor to this legendary series, which has contributed to the American brand's reputation for over 70 years.

History and Performance.
Compliant with current audio requirements, the 55SH Series II fits perfectly on stage. Its cardioid polar pattern provides good rejection of ambient noise and minimizes sound pickup from behind the microphone. Mounted on an integrated articulated clip and featuring an on/off switch, this microphone offers a vintage look, rugged durability, and excellent audio performance.

Great look and sturdy! Convenient on/off button. Too bad the recording level is low, had to increase the input gain or output volume to get a proper sound level.
