Description

Essential Information About the CL21 Lanen Cello Microphone

  • Remarkable Naturalness: linear electret capsule for faithful reproduction of the cello's timbre.

  • Handles up to 140 dB acoustic pressure to capture the full dynamic range without distortion.

  • Secure and Quick Mounting: rubber clamp and flexible gooseneck for precise positioning.

  • Stage-Ready: 48 V phantom power via mini XLR/XLR adapter and UHF compatibility (optional Prodipe transmitter).

A New Standard Designed for Acoustic Stage Performance

Designed for recording acoustic instruments, the CL21 Lanen is part of a range dedicated to demanding musicians on stage and in the studio. Its highly linear electret capsule highlights your instrument's unique color without unwanted coloration, delivering a consistent sound whether playing arco or pizzicato.

Who Is This Cello Microphone For?

The CL21 Lanen is ideal for cellists seeking a discreet, reliable, and quick-to-set-up solution: amplified concerts, rehearsals, live recordings, close-miking in home studios, or orchestral sound reinforcement. Its very high SPL tolerance and unidirectional pattern ensure good rejection of ambient noise and reduce the risk of feedback.

Design and Key Features for Your Cello

Natural and Dynamic Sound Capture

The electret capsule withstands very high sound pressures while preserving micro-dynamics and attack. You get a precise, full, and musical sound, faithful to the cello's projection across its entire range.

Smart Mounting, Instrument Protected

The rubber clamp fits the ribs without marking the varnish. The flexible gooseneck allows millimeter-precise microphone orientation to find the perfect balance between warm low register and clear highs.

Universal Connection and Scalable System

Supplied with a mini XLR to XLR adapter requiring 48 V phantom power, the CL21 Lanen integrates immediately with your console or preamp. It is also UHF compatible with the Prodipe instrument bodypack (sold separately) for stages where mobility is essential.

Good value for money Frequency correction necessary to have a good sound image of the instrument, but clearly good sound reinforcement for the cello Better avoids feedback than placing a dynamic microphone facing the instrument Gooseneck too short for my taste

Does not distort the sound of the double bass... On the contrary, it faithfully reproduces the nuances
