A Clip Microphone Designed for Stage and Versatility

The SB21 Lanen is part of the "21" series dedicated to live acoustic instrument sound capture. Its electret capsule, designed to handle very high dynamics, offers precise and musical reproduction, faithful to the timbre of saxophones and brass instruments.

For Which Uses and Who?

Ideal for saxophonists, trumpeters, trombonists, or tubists in live performance, rehearsals, or mobile recording. Its quick and stable mounting facilitates instrument changes and suits both brass sections and soloists.

Design and Key Features

Stable and Adjustable Mounting

The flexible gooseneck combined with a fixed rod covers a wide range of orientation. The suspension effectively isolates vibrations and mechanical noise, while the rubber clip fits the shape of the bell for secure holding without marking the instrument.

Wired or UHF Connectivity

Supplied with clamp(s) and XLR adapter for wired use requiring 48 V phantom power, the SB21 can also be used wirelessly via the Prodipe DSP - UHF Bodypack Instrument, perfectly matched to the capsule's impedance.

Sound Performance

The unidirectional pattern helps control stage bleed, while the wide frequency response captures breath, attack, and harmonic richness from low to high registers.

Hello, I am really not disappointed with my purchase. From the first use, the sound was clear and natural without equalization, both on the alto and the tenor. The highs in particular remain beautiful even when playing loudly. The fixing clip is (almost too) hard, it doesn't move. The adapter contains a low-cut filter that can be used to reduce impact and key noises (not mentioned in the manual!), it can be clipped to the belt, I chose to attach a small carabiner to hang it directly on the saxophone. Be careful with the very thin cable: I followed the advice of a pro, who told me to tape it to the microphone support and the adapter to avoid accidental tearing. (Wise precaution, the cable once got caught in the saxophone stand!). In short, pure happiness at an incredible price.... (Show more)
