TRANSPARENT AND DETAILED SOUND
Made in France in the Focal workshops, Trio6 is equipped with an 8" subwoofer with a "W" cone, a patented innovation. There is also a 5" midrange woofer incorporating TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technology, which reduces noise by 50% distortion in the range of
frequencies from 1 kHz to 3 kHz, and a new Beryllium tweeter equipped with IAL (Infinite Acoustic Loading) technology, which allows you to control resonances. Its large-section laminar vent greatly limits vent noise and its reinforced cabinetwork makes it possible to obtain ever more rigidity and damping, less vibration and therefore distortion. DUAL FOCUS MODE
Trio6 presents a dual Focus mode, one way or two ways, forming three monitors in one by marrying the iconic focus mode of the old SM9 star loudspeaker with the new full-range Focus mode of the ST6 line. This new speaker configuration available at the push of a footswitch – as if a second pair of studio monitors with reduced frequency response could test the adaptability of the mix on smaller systems – staying in the sweet spot when mixing, save space on the desk or console, and simplify wiring and changing monitors.
