Designed to be hung in the best recording studios and performance halls in the world, as well as in home studio spaces, its existence is a labor of love for RØDE. Each element of the NTR, from the transformer to the ribbon element itself, was designed and created in-house at RØDE headquarters in Sydney, Australia. All in order to create the best ribbon microphone available.
In terms of sound, the NTR is capable of reproducing details and unprecedented high frequency precision, responding to the common criticisms of other ribbon microphones, while considerably opening up possible usage scenarios.
